Study on the Inhabitant´s Oral Status in the Islands in West Sea of Jeonlabugdo

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to establish a basic data for the public dental health in the islands in West sea of Jeonlabugdo, the author has studied epidemiologically the teeth brushing frequency, D. M. F, and D. M. F. T, in the permanent teeth in 945 school boys and girls age3 from six to sixteen years during the periol from August to November in 1977. The obtained results are as follows :
1) Of examined students, 2.65% was brushing the teeth twice per day, 30.69% was once per day, 34.71 % was seldom, 31.69% was no teeth bruthing.
2) D. M. F, was 25% in the age of 6 years, 52.94% in the age of 9 years, 86.49% in the age of 16 years.
3) D. M: F. T, was 0. 71 % in the age of 6 years, 1.92 % in the age of 9 years, 3.28 % in the age of 12 years, 4.95% in the age of 16 years..
4) The teeth brushing frequency of examined students became increased by aging.
5) D.M.F. and D.M.F. T. of examined students became increae3 by aging.
